Annica's Play Parlor Rule #1

Always have a grown-up help you in the kitchen!
I'm going to make a  cup of Red Berry tea with fancy fruits.
My Grammy is going to be my grown-up helper!

Annica's Play Parlor Rule #2

It's fun to do things by yourself!
Sometimes, it's safer for a grown-up to do things
for you.  Whenever you see my helper friend,
it means you need your grown-up
helper to do it for you!

        1.  Fill tea kettle with water and heat until the kettle starts to
whistle or bubbles start to dance.

        2. Scoop 1 teaspoon of tea and fill the tea filter or infuser with
the tea.  Put the filter or infuser in your cup.  Fold the end of
the filter or put the infuser chain over the edge of your
teacup. I like to drop a few pieces of Grammy's Fancy Fruits in             the bottom of my teacup before she adds the hot water.  She
has yummy teas and treats for children on her Tea Menu.

        3. Pour some hot water in your teacup.  Set the timer for 4
minutes. Grammy leaves a little room for me to drop in some
ice to help cool the tea if it's still a little too warm to drink
after the timer rings.  Grammy tests the tea for me and takes
out the filter or infuser, but I get to drop in the ice!

        4. If you like your tea sweet, you can add a spoonful of sugar or
honey.  Sometimes, people can only use special sweetners, or
they can get very sick.  Listen to your helper!

        5. Tea time!  Now you can sip your nice cup of tea...but no
slurping!  Tea is good for you, but I like it just because it
            tastes yummy!

        6. Clean-up time!  Now it's your turn to be the helper!  Be a good
helper so you can come back again to play with me in...
